At the core of things my video service is about solving problems you have creatively. It doesn’t matter so much what is being made but rather:

who you are?
why do you neeed it?
what will it be used for?

These three questions help inform my creative process to produce something that not only solves the original problem but engages and informs the end user.

Filming

A good video can transform how people think about your business .

Like your logo your videos should express who you are, engage and leave a lasting impact. A business video is an extension to your brand and business and will help comunicate what you want to your customers.

The Cast

The cast, due to social distancing needed to film a socially distanced pantomime. Using equipment from both NMFX and Atmosphere Productions a full video studio, with Blue Screen was set up in one of the Academy studios.
Over two weeks the students worked to film a complete pantomime. Filming at 50fps in HD over 1TB of footage was recorded with a 2 camera system. One fixed camera and one as a dolly camera for close-ups and action shots. A very tight filming schedule meant that many scenes had only one chance of being filmed and with multiple costume changes and make-up etc ensuring everything was filmed before the deadline was a challenge for everyone involved.

Amie’s Dance Academy

NMFX Creative has been asked to video several dance shows and other live events and ultimately create DVDs of the production for sale. Filming multiple camera angles and working with live event teams in various venues to capture the very best footage that best captures the action, content and feel of the production.
NMFX Creative work with the producers and directors to ensure the vision of the show is captured while also making the process simple and easy.
Combined with NMFX’s work with Video effects to create unique title sequences and segments help give your DVD an extra special something.

Visual Effects

Design to screen, the only limit is your imagination

Designing visual effects, motion graphics etc is an area I have done more often in recent years. Once only large movie studios and VFX companies could afford the software and hardware required to produce good video effects. Now anyone can include effects that allow them to tell their story better and let their imagination run wild. Whether it’s something simple such as colour grading footage to match a style or feel consistently or a full effect sequence such ass making a character appear from another dimension.

Intro titles

NMFX Creative has a unique understanding of live events with over 25 years working to create posters, fliers, and more for different companies. Often as part of the rights for productions amateur companies either cannot use the original shows publicity or have to license things like logos if they want to use them. This means live events companies have to find solutions to promote their show and this is something we have helped many companies with.
We help them find a design message that creates interest and sells tickets, creating unique logo variations etc they can use as well.
Publicity is designed with print in mind and we are easily able to set up designs for output to print.

Idents

A local theatre wanted a quick simple yet effective ident that it could attach to it’s video, teasers, trailers etc for a continuos branding feel and to give brand recognition to all official video posts. The logo had recently been updated by NMFX so creating this ident was relatively quick. The client wanted to be able to transition to any video through the ident smoothly and the zoom on the stars at the end give a great looking simple way to do this using an alpha channel and removing the black background at the key moment. The ident is in standard HD but can be upscaled to 4k or higher easily as needed as the logo is based on a vector image.
This ident shows how branding can be used throughout different parts of the business to compliment and enhance all customer interactions with brand recognition.
